FIDELITY INVESTMENTS: WALKME

The WalkMe initiative serves as a critical enhancement to the Fidelity platform, designed to improve user comprehension of new product functionalities and spotlight key features. My role in this project was to lead the conceptualization, design, and development of a tailored WalkMe solution, seamlessly integrating a new feature within the PSW system for employers.

Challenge

Since this was the first WalkMe implementation within our team, the primary challenge was identifying the right collaborators and navigating the technical complexities associated with integrating WalkMe into the PSW platform.

Project Goal

Develop a WalkMe experience that drives client adoption of a new PSW page feature.

Key Stakeholders

  • Squad Lead

  • UX Designer

  • UX Content Strategist

  • PSW Platform Designer

  • VP of Product

Project Timeline: 3 months

Project Workflow

  1. Define Scope – Met with stakeholders to align on project goals and requirements.

  2. Storyboard & Mockups – Designed a WalkMe storyboard, including content and user flows, with Figma mockups.

  3. Collaborate & Refine – Shared storyboard with the UX Designer and UX Content Strategist for feedback.

  4. Initial Build & Review – Developed the WalkMe experience in a testing environment, then gathered feedback from the Squad Lead.

  5. Refinement & Higher Testing – Incorporated feedback and migrated the build to a higher-level testing environment.

  6. Internal Testing – Engaged team members in testing the WalkMe experience.

  7. Final Review – Submitted for approval from all stakeholders.

  8. Production Launch – Upon approval, deployed WalkMe into production and communicated the launch to relevant teams.

  9. Performance Analysis – Monitored data to track user engagement and adoption rates.

Post-Implementation Assessment

Following the deployment of WalkMe, our objective was to measure its effectiveness in driving client adoption and improving page performance. To assess its impact, we established key success metrics and conducted a comparative analysis of page analytics.

Our approach involved analyzing pre- and post-launch data, comparing page engagement metrics from the month prior to WalkMe’s implementation with those recorded in the following month. This evaluation provided valuable insights into WalkMe’s role in enhancing user adoption, increasing page views, and improving overall feature utilization.
